What’s return day?
Updating Time:2016-07-14
Return day (“RD”) is a period during which the advertisers evaluate the marketing performance of affiliates. For example, if an internet user A visits advertiser C’s website through affiliate B’s ad link and browses product D on advertiser C’s website, withoutimmediate purchase. After extensive survey or repeated considerations, the user A decides to purchase product D 40 days later by directly visiting the advertiser C’s website without passing throughaffiliate B’s website. If advertiser C sets RD at 45 days, the system will consider the internet user A’s action is a result of advertisement of affiliate B. if the advertiser C sets RD at 30 days, the system will consider the user A’s action is unrelated to the affiliate B and the user A’s information record will be deleted from LinkTech system in order to avoid repeated record and repeated charge to the advertiser. The longer the RD, the more likely the potential internet user incurs valid advertising behavior, and vice versa.
